Skate for Wishes is an annual fundraiser that raises money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The event takes place at a skating rink and all the profits go toward helping grant the wishes of children suffering from life-threatening illnesses. After speaking with the fundraiser’s coordinator, I learned that most of the people in attendance were ice skaters, but that many people also came to play hockey. I included both in the logo to help draw in more ice skaters and let hockey players know they were welcome too. The soft blue colors match the feel of the ice skating event, and the small accent above “Skate” ties in the Make-A-Wish logo.
